Ben Stokes has gone on trial for affray. There has been a lot of “noise” from the media about the case. This was one reason I did not write anything about this until now. I came across an article that talks about the actions of the parties involved in the eyes of the law. I cannot include it in my Sports Article of the Week. Do head over and read the article it will shed a lot of light on the issue.

From what I have read; all of them were charged with affray because their conduct would put a reasonable person at the scene to fear for their safety.

Yes, I get that, but it is a beast to get through the legal tests. Just waiting to hear argument that no reasonable person would be outside a a nightclub at two in the morning!
